Howdy Gang
OK, I have restored a pair of 828 cabinets
and am interested in selling them. I have another pair to restore, so I need the room!
N-800-D networks
511 horns
800 series drivers
JBL frames with Altec 416 cones
Goto www.pizzazzimages.com under Mike's
Photos and check out the Restoration link.
The last two images of the series is the
set.
On one cabinet, I did not put on a grille
cloth.
Looking at $700 for the pair

I believe these are 825 cabs not 828 cabs. I may be wrong, and there were various versions, but the 828 cabs I have seen have a one piece back, and when looking in from the rear, the horn flares are closed in. Anyone more knowledgeable please chime in. Not that there is anything wrong with any of the cabs, they look quite nice. I had no idea you could put altec cones into jbl frames! How do they sound?

Hello!
OK, I can honestly say that I do not know the
model numbers, but one does have the 2 panel
back (the lower panel was glued into place, and
the upper panel is removeable.
The other cabinet has the single back that is
removeable.
As far as the frames, I believe they are JBL,
but I got them from a friend, and I will double
check.
As far as the sound, they kick butt. I can
compare them to my model 19's but the 19's are
made for a more predominant low-end (boomier)
sound.
I'll get back on the woofer.
I am puzzeled... so many hits, and no bites
for purchasing.... I would think that 700
for the pair would be very enticing!

Agreed, a very fair price, unfortunately, my living room already has a pair, and no room for another! They are fine speakers and someone will want them, at that reasonable price someone will buy them.
Best wishes for a quick
new home, Russellc
